In-house facilitation training: Your team runs workshops that end in decisions.
A tailored facilitation training for your organisation, built around the workshops your team really has to run. At your offices across Europe or at our Brussels location – in English or German.

Your team learns from a trainer with more than 1.000 facilitated workshops – and practises on its own workshops.
Three formats, one goal: workshops your team can run on its own
We agree the format in a short briefing call – together with what success after the training looks like for you.
Facilitation essentials
The universal structure, the core activities for each phase and how to bring every voice into the room. Ideal as a kick-off for managers and project leads.
Facilitation toolbox
The full toolbox, decisions that hold, tricky situations and four templates – each participant designs their own next workshop.
Facilitation bootcamp
Everything from the two-day format plus a practice day: each participant facilitates a session and receives structured feedback and a certificate.
Every workshop is a system you can design
From the challenge (A) to the result you need (B) – with the activities that get you there.
Design the path from A to B – and your workshops become far more reliable.
Your in-house facilitation trainer: Jörn Steinz

Jörn Steinz has facilitated more than 1.000 workshops: strategy offsites, alignment workshops, innovation sprints and team days for leadership and project teams across Europe. Along the way he has trained many teams to run workshops themselves – workshops that solve problems, delight customers and spark new ideas.
People who work with him notice quickly: this is someone who loves workshops. His trainings are lively, light and relentlessly practical. You learn every method by experiencing it, reflecting on it with the group and then facilitating it yourself. It is fun – and it sticks.
He sharpened his eye for results in business: first as a consultant at Accenture, then in corporate development at XING and the freenet Group. He has run his own practice since 2014 and holds an MBA from EADA Business School in Barcelona.
He has distilled his experience, his universal workshop structure and the best activities from practice into the book The Workshop Playbook. This training is built on it: a proven system, taught by the trainer who developed it.

How you learn
Short input
The concept in a few minutes, to the point and with examples from real workshops.
Apply it right away
You experience the activity yourself, on a task you know from your own work.
Share and reflect
What worked, what would you adapt? That turns an exercise into a tool for your next workshop.
Facilitate it yourself
During the training you already lead activities for the group, in a safe setting and with feedback from your peers.
You leave with methods you have already facilitated yourself – and the confidence to use them from your next workshop on.
“We had great time learning. … We want to ensure we are using the tools we learned.”
“Much appreciated and thank you for your support. The team learned a lot!”
From the first call to your team’s first workshop
1. Briefing
A 30-minute call: your goals, your group and the workshops your team has coming up.
2. Tailored design
We build the training around your real cases, so every exercise moves your own work forward.
3. Training
Short input, apply right away, share and reflect – and every participant facilitates for the group.
4. Follow-up
Templates, the facilitation handbook and, on request, a follow-up session to keep the momentum.
What in-house facilitation training gives your team
Start with the goal
You agree up front how the success of the workshop will be recognised – and design every activity towards it.
Build a flow that decides
You lead a group from many options to a few clear decisions, using a rule everyone accepts.
Bring every voice into the room
Simple formats make sure quiet experts contribute as much as the loudest voices.
Turn results into action
You leave the room with owners, next steps and dates – and a follow-up that keeps them alive.
One toolbox, four phases: combine what fits
All activities sorted by phase. Combine them freely, several per phase if you like. In the training you try the most important ones yourself and facilitate them for the group.

What does in-house facilitation training include?
A tailored training for your team: the universal structure behind every workshop, the core activities for each phase and how to handle tricky situations – practised on workshops your team really has to run.
How long is an in-house facilitation training?
One day for structure and core activities, two days for the full toolbox, or three days including a practice day on which each participant facilitates a session and receives feedback. We agree the format in a short briefing call.
Where does the training take place?
We come to your offices in Brussels or anywhere in Europe. If you would rather not host, we run it at our Brussels location next to Brussels-Central station.
How many participants can take part?
From around eight people. Up to 16 participants work with one trainer, so that everyone facilitates during the training; for larger groups we plan a second trainer or several sessions.

In English or German.
Can you also design a specific workshop for us?
Yes. If your workshop is coming up soon, we design it with you or facilitate it ourselves. For leadership offsites see our strategy workshop facilitation.
